We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sessional Trainer with a background in Alcohol and Other Drugs, community or mental health services to inspire and upskill the next generation of care professionals.

As a trainer, you'll bring your real-world experience into the classroom, helping learners build confidence, capability, and a genuine connection to the work they do.

What you will be delivering:

Accredited qualifications and skill sets in Alcohol and Other Drugs.

Delivery may include face-to-face, online, workplace and blended learning.

genU Training delivers job-ready, nationally recognised qualifications and vocational short courses. We empower people through education-particularly those living with disability, long-term unemployed, or experiencing vulnerability in the community.

What you'll do

As a Sessional Trainer, you will:

Facilitate engaging training across face-to-face and online environments

Support learners from diverse backgrounds, including current entrants and experienced support workers

Bring industry insights into your sessions to create practical, job-ready learning

Collaborate with internal teams to enhance training quality and learner experience

What you'll bring





TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) - essential

Relevant qualification in your area of expertise (community services, mental health, alcohol and other drugs)

Strong, current experience in the relevant sector

Confident facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners

Experience delivering training both in-person and online

(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate - but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)
