- Run and manage an assigned section of the kitchen (e.g. grill, larder, fry, or prep) during service
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to recipe and presentation standards
- Maintain mise en place and ensure section is fully stocked and prepped ahead of service
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak trading periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in line with venue SOPs
- Monitor stock levels within your section and flag shortages or wastage
- Support training and guidance of junior kitchen staff and apprentices
- Assist with stocktakes, receiving deliveries, and basic inventory processes as required
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
About you
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or solid Demi Chef ready to step up, ideally in a high-volume bar, pub, or entertainment venue
- Solid understanding of kitchen sections, food prep, and cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy peak-period service
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Proficient in cooking all types of steak
