Project Manager - Building Projects (APS6) About the Role /n

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of building, construction and infrastructure projects that improve workplace facilities, safety and visitor experiences.

/n

You'll manage projects from start to finish, including planning, procurement, budgeting, contractor management, risk assessment and project delivery. Working with a range of stakeholders, you'll ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget while meeting government compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities /n

/n

- Manage building, infrastructure and facilities projects through the full project lifecycle.

/n

- Develop project plans, business cases, budgets and timelines.

/n

- Lead procurement activities, including tenders and contractor engagement.

/n

- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with government policies and regulations.

/n

- Monitor project risks, budgets and project performance.

/n

- Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.

/n

- Provide expert advice on construction, asset improvement and facilities projects.

/n

- Prepare reports, briefs and project documentation.

/n

- Support continuous improvement, governance and project planning activities.

/n

- Supervise and support members of the Building Projects team.

/n

About You /n

To be successful, you will have:

- Experience managing building, construction, infrastructure or facilities projects.

/n

- Strong project management, procurement and contract management skills.

/n

- Experience managing budgets, timelines and project risks.

/n

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

/n

- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

/n

- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.

/n

- Experience working with contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

/n

- Australian Citizenship.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance .

- Current or ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration .

- Canberra-based role, with limited flexibility for remote work.
