Your new role:

As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred speech pathology services within the Speech Pathology Department at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, working collaboratively within an interprofessional team. Key responsibilities include:

- Deliver speech pathology assessment, intervention and evaluation, including patient education, therapeutic management and support with discharge planning, using evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols.
- Manage an allocated caseload effectively, applying clinical judgement, prioritisation and sound time management while maintaining accurate patient records and service documentation.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with patients, carers, families, health professionals, students and external agencies to support effective, patient-centred outcomes.
- Contribute to clinical education, student and support staff supervision, quality and service improvement activities, and research initiatives under the guidance of senior staff.

- The ability to provide high-quality, efficient and evidence-based speech pathology assessment and management within a hospital setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of an interprofessional team and engage positively with patients and their families.
- A commitment to active learning and professional development, with the capacity to build clinical knowledge and expertise through experience, teamwork and ongoing development.




- An ability, or the capacity to rapidly develop the skills, to contribute to student education and clinical training, as well as local service development and quality improvement initiatives.
