Join Metro South Health as a Clinical Midwife Consultant and play a key role in strengthening preventive health care and improving outcomes for pregnant people and their children. You will:

- Work collaboratively with the Office of the Chief Midwife Officer, MSH clinicians and multidisciplinary stakeholders to embed contemporary, evidence-based antenatal practices and strengthen clinical triage and referral pathways.
- Contribute to initiatives that address barriers to preventive health care, including screening for vulnerable women, chronic disease and future health risks, as well as strengthening smoking and vaping cessation support during pregnancy.
- Build and maintain effective networks across government, non-government and consumer stakeholders while providing expert advice on clinical practice, policy, service development, education and research.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate midwife who can bring advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership and a commitment to improving health outcomes for women, families and communities. You have:

- Demonstrated advanced clinical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to provide safe, evidence-based and individualised woman-centred midwifery care.
- Proven ability to lead clinical practice improvement, service redesign,

quality initiatives and the implementation of contemporary midwifery-led models of care.
- Highly developed communication, collaboration, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across multidisciplinary, government, non-government and consumer groups.
- A strong commitment to culturally safe practice, health equity, education, research and workforce development, with the ability to translate evidence into improved midwifery practice and outcomes.

What we can offer you:

- We offer a family-friendly work environment that supports you in making the most of Queensland's laid-back lifestyle.
- We are renowned for teaching and research excellence with strong relations with Queensland's leading tertiary institutions.
- We want to empower you to build a long-term career, with countless opportunities to learn and grow, no matter your role
- You'll have all the benefits of working for Queensland's world-class public health system including generous
