About the role

Hours: 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE)

Employment Term: Fixed-term contract ending 30 June 2028

Classification: True Enterprise Agreement 2026 – Level 5 - $53.89 hourly

As Project Officer,



PALM Health Education, you’ll coordinate project activities across resource development and localisation, stakeholder engagement, project administration, monitoring and reporting.

Working across internal teams and with regional, national and local partners, the Project Officer supports the effective implementation of the PALM Health Education Project in accordance with contractual requirements, agreed milestones and intended outcomes.

In this important role, you will:

- Coordinate project activities. Support planning, coordination, and implementation to achieve program outcomes.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement. Develop and maintain robust stakeholder relationships, facilitate collaboration, and support effective coordination across project activities.
- Monitor project performance. Support reporting, risk management, safeguarding, and other project requirements.
- Contribute to program development. Identify emerging opportunities, service gaps and partnerships that strengthen access to sexual and reproductive health information, education, referral pathways and services for PALM scheme workers

What we’re looking for

You’re an engaging and values-driven project officer who is passionate about building strong relationships and contributing to projects that make a positive difference.

You will bring:

- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. public health, health promotion, community development, international development, project management, education or human services), or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects,



deliverables and competing priorities within agreed timeline requirements, including monitoring and reporting.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders across community, government and health settings, supported by strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a range of activities to support successful project delivery. Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively across diverse cultural contexts, with a commitment to culturally safe and inclusive service delivery.

Role requirements

- Experience working in or with Pacific Island countries or communities, with an understanding of Pacific cultural contexts.
- Ability to speak a Pacific language in addition to English.
- Current Queensland C Class driver’s license.
- Current Positive Notice Blue Card or registered with an approved regulated workforce.
- Nationally Coordinated Police Check
- Ability and willingness to undertake travel as required to support project activities, stakeholder engagement, training and project delivery.
- Ability to work flexibly where required to support project, training and stakeholder activities.
