Our client is an award-winning architecture and construction company exploring a different way of designing and building. We bring architecture, construction and manufacturing together under one roof, designing highly resolved architectural projects and constructing significant portions of them
within their Brisbane manufacturing facility before installation and completion on site.
Their work sits at the intersection of architecture, construction and advanced off-site manufacturing. Role Summary
Working closely with and reporting to the Construction Manager, architectural team, factory team, site teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients, the Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a number of highly considered high-end architectural residential projects, managing them
from pre-construction through manufacturing, site installation and completion. These are not conventional volume-building projects and the Project Manager will help shape the processes through which those projects are delivered.
The projects are architecturally ambitious, highly detailed and technically demanding.



They require someone who can understand both the design intent and the commercial and practical realities of construction.
You will be responsible for bringing structure and momentum to each project - ensuring decisions are made, information is available when required, responsibilities are clear and issues are followed through to resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Project ownership - owns multiple high-end architectural residential projects from contract award through to PC/handover, including programme, priorities, risks and key decisions.
 Programme management - maintain the master programme and rolling lookahead, coordinate factory, design, procurement, transport and site activities, and identify delays
 Design coordination - make sure design information is resolved, coordinated and constructible before it impacts procurement or construction.
 Procurement - identify long-lead items, ensure orders are placed when required and maintain visibility of materials and deliveries against the programme.
 Factory/site integration - act as the link between the factory and site so that both are working to the same programme and priorities.
 Commercial awareness - understand the contract scope, identify variations and latent conditions,



ensure potential costs are captured early and work closely with the CA around claims, variations and cash flow.
 Client management - be the primary project contact, manage expectations and make sure client changes are properly assessed and documented before becoming commitments.
 Subcontractor/consultant management - establish explicit scope, programme and deliverables, monitor performance and deal with issues early.
 Quality and handover - monitoring quality and ensuring completed work reflects both the documentation and architectural intent. Ensure inspections, ITPs, defects, certification, commissioning and handover are properly managed and closed out.

Qualifications & Skills
 Strong experience delivering high-quality residential or architectural construction projects
 A sound understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and programming
 The ability to read and interrogate architectural and consultant documentation
 Strong commercial awareness and experience with project budgets and variations
 Excellent communication with clients, architects, consultants, trades and internal teams
 Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
 Confidence making decisions within your area of responsibility
 The ability to identify problems early rather than waiting for them to become urgent
 A practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery
 High standards of documentation and follow-through
 Above all, someone who takes ownership.
