About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide specialist clinical care within a well-established Alcohol and Other Drugs service. Your role will include conducting nursing assessments, administering Schedule 8 medications, supporting opioid treatment programs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, providing brief interventions and telehealth support, and assisting clients throughout their recovery journey.

You will work closely with medical officers, nurse practitioners, prescribers, and Community Health and Mental Health clinicians to deliver safe, evidence-based and client-centred care. The role also involves coordinating referrals, supporting follow-up care, and contributing to prescriber clinics to ensure clients receive seamless access to the services they need.
