The Grounds Group is looking for an experienced, hands on Operations Manager to oversee three of our venues, leading a team of Venue Managers to deliver exceptional guest experiences, solid commercial performance and operational excellence across the precinct.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading Our Venues

- Oversee and support Venue Managers across 3 venues in the day-to-day running of their sites

- Remain actively present in venues, staying close to service and operations

- Manage venue maintenance, WHS compliance, audits and walkthroughs

- Work with Bar Managers and Head Chefs on drinks concepts, menus and roll-outs

Driving the Numbers

- Manage departmental CAPEX and ensure rosters are forecast and delivered within budget

- Conduct cost control and P&L; analysis across rosters, labour and general operations

- Monitor daily labour and sales, driving performance against targets

- Identify and implement sales initiatives alongside the Creative team and Directors

Leading the Team

- Recruit, onboard, train, coach and manage a team of Venue Managers

- Set clear goals and expectations, with regular one-on-ones and performance reviews

- Roll out in-venue training and drive learning & development across the business

- Lead performance management, including appraisals and, where needed, disciplinary processes





Championing the Guest Experience

- Ensure every guest interaction reflects the highest standard of service

- Oversee resolution of customer complaints, ensuring guests leave satisfied

- Drive customer loyalty through consistent, proactive experience management

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience in a multi-site venue, hospitality management role

- Strong financial acumen. Comfortable owning P&Ls;, budgets and labour cost control

- A track record of leading, developing and holding teams accountable

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of a business

- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience

- The ability to switch between big picture strategy and hands on, in venue problem solving
