About the Company
Our client is a well-established civil contractor delivering infrastructure across transport, utilities and energy. Its South Australian business is growing, with a core focus on Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) projects alongside roads, water, drainage, asset relocations and substation work.

About the Role
Based in Adelaide, you'll take full ownership of major civil infrastructure projects across South Australia, from planning and mobilisation through to handover. The role has genuine autonomy: you'll run the commercials, lead the delivery team, and be the key relationship holder with DIT and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of DIT and civil infrastructure projects across roads, drainage, water, utilities and energy
- Own project budgets, forecasts, programs and commercial performance
- Manage variations, claims, risk and contractual obligations
- Lead Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and procurement
- Ensure compliance with DIT specifications, and with safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Build strong relationships with DIT, clients, consultants and authorities
- Report progress and forecasts accurately to senior management

About You
Essential:

- Proven Senior Project Manager or Project Manager experience in civil construction
- Track record delivering road, transport, drainage, water or utilities projects from mobilisation to completion




- Strong commercial grasp: forecasting, variations, claims and cost control
- Ability to interpret contracts, drawings and specifications
- Experience leading engineering and site teams
- Current driver's licence

Highly regarded:

- DIT project delivery experience in South Australia
- Utility relocation or substation / energy infrastructure exposure
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification
