About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist, based in Perth Western Australia, to lead full-cycle procurement activities within a complex and dynamic environment. You will develop and deliver category strategies, sourcing plans and contract management initiatives, while partnering with stakeholders and suppliers to drive best value-for-money and strong commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement strategies and sourcing plans that minimise risk and deliver best value-for-money outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the end-to-end category and contract lifecycle, including scope development, budgeting, and risk management.
- Manage key contracts in collaboration with contract owners, ensuring compliance and performance.
- Drive best practice procurement processes across the organization.




- Establish benchmarks and performance measures for sourcing activities to achieve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings targets.

About You

- Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in strategic procurement, category management, and contract management within a complex environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver sourcing projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contracts law, risk management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MRP systems (IFS desirable) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
- Strategic thinker with robust commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
