Our client is a well-established Australian export meat processor with a growing operation in the Bass Coast / South Gippsland region. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll lead the warehouse and dispatch team on shift, making sure product is loaded safely, accurately and on time. This role suits a hands-on leader who likes structure, a busy pace and developing their people.
What you will be doing
- Plan and coordinate daily manning to meet load schedules
- Lead, coach and develop the warehouse team
- Drive DIFOT, stock control and waste reduction
- Keep throughput and load schedules on track and escalate delays
- Organise leave cover and cross-training
- Deliver accurate shift reports and handovers
- Support performance and conduct conversations with Warehouse Management
- Uphold WHS, food safety and Department of Agriculture requirements
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance and Engineering
What you will bring
- Supervisor or team leader experience in warehousing, dispatch or production
- Food, meat, dairy or cold chain background highly regarded
- Solid working knowledge of WHS requirements
- Confident using Microsoft Office and producing shift reporting
- Clear communicator who enjoys coaching others
- Results driven with a continuous improvement mindset
