What you'll be doing
As an Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support that enables the effective delivery of patient-centred care. You will coordinate a broad range of administrative functions while acting as a key point of contact for patients, carers, clinicians and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering efficient administrative services to support patient care and service operations

- Communicating with patients, families,



carers and healthcare professionals to coordinate care requirements

- Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

- Supporting service quality initiatives, reporting processes and continuous improvement activities

- Contributing to a safe, respectful and consumer-focused workplace that promotes excellent patient outcomes

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join the Westmead Public Hospital Operating Suites on a casual basis. As a major referral and trauma centre comprising 28 operating rooms, Operating Suites offers a dynamic and rewarding perioperative experience. In these roles, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and advocacy as part of a multidisciplinary team. Opportunities are available across the perioperative specialty areas of Instrument and Circulating Nursing, Anaesthetics, and the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Essential Criteria

- Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

- Extensive current operating theatres experience in Instrument and Circulating or Anaesthetics or Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) perioperative specialty areas.

- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.

- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.

- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
