About the role

ABC Hygiene Restoration is seeking a Hygiene and Restoration Technician to join our dynamic and supportive team in Busselton, WA. This is a full-time position based on-site where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality restoration services to our valued clients. This is a great opportunity for an experienced restoration qualified, but previous restoration experience isn’t essential. If you’re reliable, hardworking, keen to learn and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed. As a Hygiene Restoration Technician, you’ll be out and about working on a variety of properties and projects, helping restore homes and businesses following water, fire, mould and other types of damage. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring client satisfaction across the South West region.

Key responsibilities

- Assess damage to properties and personal items, determining the most appropriate restoration techniques and methods

- Execute restoration work including but not limited to water damage remediation, fire and smoke restoration, and general property repairs

- Operate specialised restoration equipment safely and effectively, including dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture detection tools

- Document all work undertaken, including photographs and detailed notes, to ensure accurate record-keeping and quality assurance

- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on restoration progress and addressing any concerns or queries

- Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly





- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company protocols whilst working on client premises

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards

- Support the development and implementation of restoration best practices within the team

What we're looking for

- Experience working as a Restoration or Hygiene Technician or in a similar technical role within the restoration or construction industry (preferred)

- Sound knowledge of water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, and general property remediation techniques (preferred)

- Competency in using specialised restoration equipment and moisture detection devices

- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to assess complex damage scenarios and determine appropriate solutions

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members

- A commitment to health and safety practices, with awareness of relevant regulations and industry standards

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying environments and conditions

- A valid driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites

- Relevant certifications or qualifications in restoration techniques or related areas (preferred)

- A proactive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
