About the role

CLAIRE TRANSPORT Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Interstate Truck Driver to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Seaford VIC 3198. As an Interstate Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across state lines, ensuring timely delivery whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is critical to our operations, as you will be the face of CLAIRE TRANSPORT to our clients and partners, representing our commitment to excellence in road transport logistics.

Key responsibilities

- Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently on interstate routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

- Plan and execute optimal routes to ensure on-time delivery of goods to destinations across state lines

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and safety compliance

- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation in accordance with transport regulations and company policies

- Load and unload cargo, ensuring goods are secure and protected during transit

- Communicate regularly with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays and any issues encountered

- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour when interacting with clients and stakeholders

- Comply with fatigue management regulations and take appropriate rest breaks to ensure safe driving practices

- Report any vehicle defects, accidents or safety concerns immediately to management

- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior

What we're looking for

- Current Multi Combination (MC) truck driver's licence, with a clean driving record, current points check from Vic Roads

- Minimum 5 years' experience driving heavy vehicles on interstate routes

- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations, fatigue management laws and transport compliance requirements, BFM would be an advantage or willingness to obtain





- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting

- Exceptional time management and route planning skills

- Professional communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including loading and unloading cargo

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to safety

- Experience with transport management systems and digital logbook technology would be an advantage

- Familiarity with various cargo types and handling procedures is advantageous
