You might know us from the Big Freeze. The beanies. The sliders. The icy plunge at the ’G. The thousands of Australians who come together every year to fight the Beast that is MND.
But FightMND is so much more than one iconic moment. And we’re looking for someone brilliant to help us tell those stories.
This isn't your average social media role.
We're looking for a creative thinker, storyteller and content creator who lives and breathes social. Someone bursting with ideas who can turn people, stories and everyday moments into content audiences actually want to watch, share and talk about.
One day, you could be behind the scenes at the Big Freeze. The next, telling the story of a world leading MND researcher, capturing an incredible community fundraiser, creating content with one of our ambassadors or dreaming up a completely unexpected way to stop people mid scroll.
We want someone who can spot a great story, grab a camera and turn an idea into something special.
You'll have the freedom to pitch ideas, experiment with recent formats, get out from behind your desk and help shape how FightMND shows up across our social and digital channels.
From quick-turnaround reels to major campaign content, you'll create work that feels bold, authentic, engaging and unmistakably FightMND.
And the best part? Your creativity will help us reach more people, inspire action and ultimately raise more funds to fight MND.
What you'll bring:
We're looking for big ideas, great creative instincts and the skills to bring them to life.
- A portfolio that makes us want to keep watching. Reels, short-form video, campaigns, social-first content, show us what you can do.
- A love of all things social. You understand Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, and what makes great content work across each.
- Your finger on the pulse. You know what's happening in social culture, can spot emerging trends and know when to jump in, put a FightMND spin on something or do something completely different.
- A great eye and ear for storytelling. You understand framing, lighting, composition, sound, pacing, editing and how to use them to make people feel something.
- Ideas AND execution. You can take an idea from “what if we did this?” through to concepting, filming, editing and final delivery.
- Hands-on production skills. You're comfortable with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, CapCut or similar. The key is you can create great content at pace.
- Creative confidence. You're happy pitching ideas, directing shoots and collaborating with photographers, videographers, designers, ambassadors and other creatives.
- A way with words. You can write engaging social copy that gives your content the hook it deserves. From scroll-stopping captions and headlines to CTAs that get people to do something.
- A creative planner. You can help shape and manage our content calendar. Planning the right mix of stories, formats and moments across our channels, while leaving room to jump on the unexpected opportunities that make socials great.
- Great organisation. You can juggle shoots, campaigns and spontaneous content opportunities while keeping things moving.
How to apply
We could ask for a traditional cover letter… but where's the fun in that?
Instead, show us what you've got.
Send us:
- A video of up to 3 minutes telling us why you think you'd be a great addition to FightMND. How you do it is completely up to you. Be creative. Be yourself. Make us want to keep watching.
- A portfolio of your best work. Reels, videos, campaigns, social content, passion projects. Whatever best shows us your creative style and what you can do.
- Your current CV. Give us a snapshot of your experience, skills and what you've been up to so far.
- Send this to *************@fightmnd.org.au
Applications close on Wednesday 14 October 2026, however we will be reviewing applications as they come in.
Consider this your first FightMND creative brief.
