We are a local building company based in Tweed Heads and are seeking a enthusiastic construction estimator to join our team.

We are looking for a motivated, proactive, forward-thinking individual with excellent estimating skills. We would value someone who takes pride in their work, respectful of others, and has had a variety of experience on differing projects with the ability to undertake all aspects of estimating.

You will need to be a team player who can work individually and unsupervised when required. The ideal candidate will be fit and healthy, reliable, with a hardworking can-do attitude.

This is an office based full-time position.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- Be reliable, punctual and well organised

- Be self-motivated with good work ethic and can work as part of a team

- Hold a driver's license as you will need to visit sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing accurate costs and estimates

- Executing tender requests and submissions

- Sourcing and reviewing quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers

- Assisting in subcontractor selections

- Maintaining and producing accurate project records and reports

- Preparation of initial estimating assessment of tenders.





- Perform trade break ups of documentation, appropriate trade subcontractor selection lists, and liaise with subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme.

- Comparison and analysis of subcontractor pricing.

Skills & Experience:

- Must be able to read, comprehend and understand drawings, and specifications.

- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven experience estimating on residential and commercial projects

- Must have Buildsoft Cubit experience or the like

- Ambition to commit long term to the business and assist in our long-term growth.

- Valuable time management skills

- Strong attention to detail
