Are you hands-on, practical and interested in how air conditioning and refrigeration systems work?

MEGT is looking for a motivated 1st or 2nd Year Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice to join our host employer and build valuable skills in the HVAC industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience working alongside qualified technicians across a range of residential air conditioning and refrigeration projects.

About the opportunity

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced tradespeople while developing the practical skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified HVAC technician.

- You'll gain experience in:
- Installation, servicing and maintenance of residential air conditioning systems
- Assisting with fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting
- HVAC mechanical services
- Refrigeration systems and equipment
- Using hand and power tools
- Reading and following technical information and specifications
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
- Assisting with pipework, cabling, mounting equipment and system commissioning
- You'll get exposure to different systems and installations, giving you the opportunity to build a broad range of practical skills throughout your apprenticeship.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

- A current 1st or 2nd Year Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice, or looking to commence their apprenticeship
- Reliable,



punctual and eager to learn
- Practical, hands-on and enjoys working with tools
- Interested in technology, machinery and how things work
- Keen to build a long-term career in HVAC
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Committed to workplace health and safety
- Qualified and comfortable interacting with customers
- Holds a current driver's licence or is working towards obtaining one
- Previous experience with tools, construction, electrical work, mechanics or other hands-on environments will be viewed favourably but is not essential.

Essential requirements

- Current Australian Driver's Licence, or actively working towards obtaining one
- Current White Card




- Full working rights in Australia
- Genuine commitment to completing a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
