About the role

Reporting to the Inventory Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing and availability of mining parts, supplier relationships, purchasing data and purchase orders. You will work closely with teams across the Supply Chain function to optimise inventory performance, resolve supply challenges and improve supplier outcomes. You will also lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects, using data-driven insights to enhance processes, systems and ways of working while supporting strong customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage purchasing and replenishment activities across an assigned inventory portfolio, ensuring supply requirements are met.

- Review MRP, demand and inventory requirements to determine purchasing actions and maintain accurate ERP data.

- Manage supplier performance, including purchase orders, commitments, lead times and delivery performance.

- Proactively identify and resolve supply and inventory issues, communicating risks and providing practical recommendations.

- Analyse purchasing and inventory data to identify trends, root causes, risks and improvement opportunities.

- Collaborate across the Supply Chain function with Demand Planning, Warehousing, Logistics and other teams to improve supply and inventory outcomes.

- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects, driving improvements across purchasing processes, systems, reporting and ways of working.

About you

- Experience in inventory purchasing, supply chain or materials planning

- Strong understanding of MRP, inventory and replenishment principles

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis

- Ability to resolve supply issues under constraints and tight timeline.

- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a complex operating environment

- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement change.

- Formal education in supply chain is preferred.
