About the role

Be the calm, helpful voice people hear when they need care most - all from a modern office environment. The Oral Health Service Contact Centre is key service to improve the dental health of people across Western and Far West Health Districts, working closely with dental clinics and private dental providers to organise patient care.

This role is based at our Oral Health Intake Service in Manera Plaza. It is a contact centre-style position, not based in a hospital or dental clinic - making it ideal for people who want to work in healthcare without being in a clinical setting. This is a permanent part time position with negotiable working hours - starting at 8.15am, the completing weekly hours over either 4 or 5 days.

As an Intake Officer, you will be the first point of contact for patients accessing Oral Health services across Western and Far West NSW. You will answer calls in a friendly and professional manner, listen carefully to understand each person's needs and guide them to the most appropriate service. Alongside this, you will complete a range of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the intake service, including entering patient information, managing enquiries and working closely with clinical teams and other service providers.

This is a rapid-paced role where strong communication, organisation and the ability to multitask are essential.



You will need to feel confident speaking with a wide range of people, remain calm under pressure and be comfortable using computer systems while managing calls. Most importantly, you will bring a genuine commitment to helping people and ensuring every patient interaction is respectful, clear and supportive.
