About the role

Prepare accurate, competitive and commercially sound estimates and tender submissions that support the business in securing profitable work. Ensure pricing reflects the complete scope, delivery methodology, risks, productivity, labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors, mobilisation and commercial obligations. Maintain pricing consistency, improve tender quality and support an effective transition from tender award through to operational execution.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for shutdowns, maintenance activities, minor works and larger projects.

- Review requests for quotation, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, schedules and other technical documentation.

- Develop labour, supervision, roster, equipment, material, subcontractor, travel, accommodation and mobilisation estimates.

- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, site information and client documentation.

- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and confirm inclusions, exclusions, validity and lead times.

- Identify value-engineering opportunities and alternative methodologies that improve safety, delivery or commercial outcomes.

- Ensure pricing complies with approved rates, margin expectations, delegations and internal approval requirements.

- Work with Operations to validate labour numbers, trade mix, supervision, rosters, productivity assumptions, equipment and access methodology.

- Attend site inspections, tender briefings and scope clarifications where required.

- Prepare and deliver structured project handovers following successful tender awards, including scope, assumptions, risks,



pricing basis and critical commitments.

About you

- Trade qualification or relevant industry experience.

- Current driver's licence.

- Experience estimating industrial maintenance, shutdown or construction projects.

- Strong commercial and financial understanding.

- Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, scopes and technical specifications.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with estimating or ERP systems such as IFS, Pronto, SAP or equivalent.

- High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience in rope access, mining, heavy industry, structural steel or mechanical maintenance is desirable.

- Knowledge of contract forms, tender qualifications and commercial risk is desirable.
