The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

This is a fixed term, full time position, with a preferred Melbourne location, working in a hybrid arrangement until 30 June 2027.

About the role

We are seeking a Business Liaison Lead to support the implementation of key specialist pathway reforms within the Medical Team.

This role will lead the coordination of business, project and implementation activities associated with the development of new digital solutions that support specialist registration pathways. Working across Ahpra, external suppliers and technology teams, you will help translate business needs into practical solutions, improve end-to-end processes and support the successful delivery of important reform initiatives.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how specialist medical registration services are delivered into the future.

About you

You are an experienced project or implementation professional who thrives on bringing people together to deliver complex outcomes.

You can quickly understand business needs, translate them into practical solutions and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups. You are comfortable working in a changing environment, engaging with suppliers and project teams,



and keeping delivery on track from planning through to implementation.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Experience delivering business transformation, regulatory reform or implementation projects.
- Experience translating business or policy requirements into operational processes and technology-enabled solutions.
- Robust communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse groups.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, risks and dependencies.
