About the role

KSI Sawmills is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious person to join our team in a wide-ranging role combining local timber deliveries with hands-on sawmill work.

You will drive a single semi-trailer, delivering timber throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas. When deliveries are not scheduled, you will assist with timber processing and other sawmill duties.

Key responsibilities

- Delivering timber safely and efficiently to customers

- Assisting with loading and unloading, checking orders and securing loads

- Completing vehicle pre-start checks and reporting faults or maintenance requirements

- Managing delivery paperwork and communicating professionally with customers

- Assisting with timber processing, sizing, grading, stacking and packing

- Operating sawmill machinery once trained and authorised (training provided)

- Keeping vehicles and work areas clean and tidy

- Following all safety procedures and reporting hazards

About you

- A current Heavy Combination (HC) licence suitable for driving a single semi-trailer

- Heavy vehicle driving experience,



a responsible driving history and a strong commitment to safety

- Knowledge of vehicle weight limits, axle load limits and safe load restraint requirements

- Reliability, punctuality and good communication skills

- The ability to perform physical duties and manual handling safely

- A willingness to work across different areas of the sawmill

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hours and employment conditions

- 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime if required

- Automatic transmission truck

- Pay based on whichever applicable rate is higher under either the Timber Industry Award or Road Transport and Distribution Award, including casual loading while employed casually

- Initially offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment following a successful initial assessment period, subject to performance and business requirements
