We are a well-established, busy general practice, staffed by a team of 8 dedicated General Practitioners (GPs). Our clinicians are supported by experienced nurses and a committed administrative team.

At the heart of our practice is a strong focus on delivering exceptional, patient-centered healthcare in a professional, collaborative, and supportive setting.

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Nurse to join our team.

REGISTERED OR ENROLLED NURSE POSITION AVAILABLE

The Practice Nurse will provide nursing treatment to patients and, where appropriate, delegated medical services in the clinical setting. For example:

- Carry out an assessment of the health status of individuals and families using a holistic framework.

- Work in partnership with patients on identified issues, within the scope and practice of the Practice Nurse’s duties.

- Systematically collect comprehensive information concerning the patient’s level of health

- Provide initial contact and ongoing consultations that includes but are not limited to:

- History taking & data collection

- Initiate first aid and emergency treatment if needed

- Give childhood immunisations/Adult Injections where appropriate

- Manage minor soft tissue injuries/Dressings

- Prepare and assist with minor surgical procedures

- Conduct cervical screening tests (if qualified)

- Chronic disease prevention and management plans

- Provide supervision,



directly and indirectly if required.

- Assist Practice Manager with developing, writing and reviewing policy and procedures where necessary

- Facilitate nursing/office staff education/training sessions as needed

- Assist with clinic accreditation as required (every three years)

- Ordering / Stock management duties.

- Other adhoc duties within the scope of practice for a Practice Nurse as required.

Applicants with Childhood immunisation qualification & cervical screening training would be highly desirable but is not essential.
