MCJ Appointments is seeking a Customer Service Officer who enjoys helping people and can deliver clear, accurate advice in a busy council workplace.
You’ll support residents, businesses and other customers across the contact centre, front counter and administration team. Every day will bring different enquiries, so you’ll need to listen carefully, find practical solutions and keep accurate records.

What you’ll be doing

- Responding to calls and face-to-face enquiries about Council services
- Recording requests, applications and complaints in the CRM
- Working towards resolving enquiries at the first point of contact
- Processing front counter transactions, including payments
- Supporting administrative tasks and working with other Council teams

What you’ll bring

- Experience in a busy, multi-channel customer service role
- Clear communication, empathy and strong problem-solving skills
- Confidence using several computer systems at once
- The ability to prioritise, work independently and maintain accurate records

Council experience,



cash handling experience and a relevant customer service or administration qualification would be an advantage.
