Women’s Driver Academy – Hervey Bay

No heavy vehicle driving experience is required. If you're safety-focused, reliable, and eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Side Lift Collection Driver, you will be responsible for:

- Operating a side lift collection vehicle servicing residential and commercial customers
- Loading and unloading collection vehicles
- Transporting loads to designated recycling and disposal facilities
- Providing excellent customer service while representing the business
- Completing daily paperwork and records accurately
- Operating vehicles and equipment in accordance with company policies and safety requirements
- Following all safety procedures and company regulations
- Performing manual handling tasks as required

Hours: Monday to Friday
Start Time: From 5:30am
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay rate: Starting at $34.25 p/h while training
Location: Hervey Bay, QLD
Program Start Date: November 2026

What's Included?

- Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence training and qualification
- Driver training and mentorship

About You

To be eligible for the program, you must:

- Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence for a minimum of 24 months
- Have a driving history check with at least 8 demerit points remaining
- Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
- Have a strong commitment to safety
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be resilient, reliable, and adaptable
- Be comfortable undertaking manual handling duties
