They are seeking a highly experienced Service Manager who has managed a technical earthmoving operation and understands the importance of customer service.

POSITION -
In this challenging role, you will be working closely with the National Service Manager and Regional After Sales Management Team to oversee the Sydney NSW operation.
The current operation needs a qualified who is hands-on, has an eye for detail and can lead by example. You will have a small team to begin with, and we need your help to not only grow the team but also exceed budgets and establish a strong work ethic throughout the team in Sydney.
With the branches having a successful sales team and machines being assembled daily, you will need to keep up with new builds while also overseeing existing projects. The operation has a large service component, and with pressure from the team, it will be your responsibility to coordinate and oversee all deliveries and provide service backup and support to customers.
Recruitment has been a challenge for the branches, and attracting quality staff is one of the biggest challenges currently facing the operation. This will be your operation,
and the National Service Manager has said that he really needs a proven leader — someone who can handle the pressure but can also run the operation as if it were their own business.
Most days are extremely busy and we need someone that can be in the operation from 6am to 5pm You will wear multiple hats within the business, and we need an all-rounder. We understand that this is a challenging role. Your attitude and positive direction will be key to your success, and you will need to lead and motivate the team around you at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with OH&S; policies and regulations.
- Manage your Supervisors and Service Team in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Manage and maintain the workshop and work with senior management to achieve operational objectives.
- Ensure all work carried out in the workshop complies with job specifications.
- Oversee schematics for new builds and communicate openly with internal departments regarding technical issues and problems that may occur with customised equipment.
- Communicate effectively with OEMs regarding supply and logistics issues.
- Manage the existing field service team and support customers from the Sydney operation by working closely with the Field Service Manager.
- Train and develop key staff members on new equipment and equipment upgrades.
- Communicate and coordinate with the internal engineering teams.
- Oversee the full operation and reduce issues within the operation.
- Work closely with the workshop team to ensure everything is completed in a timely manner and to the required safety standards.
- Support remote service branches and provide direct management support when required.
- You must understand the retail service environment and recognise that time on the build is essential, while ensuring jobs are completed within budget.
- Provide true leadership and operational management to build a successful working team where everyone works together and every department communicates effectively.

· Wheel Loaders
· Site Dumpers
· Mobile Crushers
· Roller and compaction Equipment
· Articulated dump Trucks
· Material Handling Equipment
· Rock Breakers attachments
· Rock Drills
· Shredders and grinders
JOB REQUIRMENTS –
· 5+ years as a service Manger within the Earthmoving Industry.
· Cert 3 Heavy Plant Mechanic
· Leadership qualities
· Machine Retail experience
· Excellent organisational skills
· Team Leader
· Trade qualification as Fitter or Diesel Mechanic
