The Opportunity:

CSR are seeking a proactive and organized Production Manager to join our manufacturing site in Yarraville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing, working closely with an experienced Manufacturing Manager and gaining exposure across production, maintenance, safety, training, projects, and continuous improvement.

You will play a critical role in supporting daily production activities, coordinating key operational processes, driving compliance, and ensuring site initiatives are delivered effectively. This position also offers a clear succession pathway and the opportunity to develop into a future manufacturing leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with Shift Supervisors and Maintenance teams to ensure production schedules are achieved and operational issues are resolved quickly.




- Monitor and report on site KPIs, providing insights to support performance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and support site projects, ensuring actions, documentation, and implementation activities are completed.
- Manage and update Work Instructions (WIs), JSEAs, and SOPs, ensuring documentation remains current and reflects operational changes.
- Oversee training compliance, including training records, RTO requirements, competency tracking, and multi-skilling programs.
- Support workforce capability development through training progression and succession planning activities.
- Coordinate maintenance work requests and ensure timely follow-up and closure of outstanding actions.
- Oversee workflows, labour hire coordination, housekeeping standards, and operational activities within the regrade shed.
- Collaborate with production and operational teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and standardisation.
- Provide relief support to the Manufacturing Manager and build leadership capability through hands-on operational involvement.

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.




- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comfortable working across production, maintenance, safety, and training functions.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a genuine interest in manufacturing operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or operational environments will be highly regarded.
