Design Coordinator

Evolution Precast is a leading precast concrete manufacturer delivering major infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects across the east coast. As our major project pipeline grows, we need a driven Design Coordinator to sit at the intersection of design, production and the builder relationship — making sure the right drawings reach the right people at the right time.

About the Role

Reporting to the Major Projects Project Manager, you will own the design coordination process across one or more major precast projects. Your core focus is ensuring IFC shop drawings are issued to production in the right sequence and on time to keep manufacture on program.

You will manage the document register, run the RFI process, attend design meetings and proactively identify constructability issues well before they hit the factory floor.

What You'll Be Doing

- Act as the primary design contact between the builder, project consultants, our internal drafting team and production facilities

- Track and sequence IFC shop drawing releases to align with manufacturing program requirements

- Own the document register and manage all transmittals to and from external parties

- Manage the RFI process from logging through to close-out





- Review design documentation to identify constructability issues ahead of manufacture

- Represent Evolution Precast at design coordination meetings

About You

You are methodical and precise, but also confident enough to push for resolution when it counts. You know how to read a drawing, manage a register and keep multiple stakeholders moving without things falling through the cracks.

Skills and Experience

- Experience in design coordination, document control or a similar construction role

- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings

- Experience managing RFIs, design registers and document transmittals

- Strong communication skills across engineers, builders and production teams

- Proficient in document management systems and MS Office

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Drafting, Construction or equivalent industry experience
