This is a predominantly field-based, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being out and about, working across a variety of sites, solving problems, and taking pride in the quality of their work. You'll be provided with a fully maintained work vehicle, tools, and equipment to support you in delivering responsive maintenance services across our property portfolio.

About the Role

As the Internal Maintenance Officer, you'll play an important role in maintaining Housing Trust properties to a high standard and ensuring tenants receive a responsive, customer-focused maintenance service. You'll undertake a variety of maintenance, repair,



and inspection activities across our residential portfolio while working closely with tenants, contractors and the Property Services team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking general property maintenance, repairs, and handyman works

- Completing painting, minor carpentry, and defect rectification works

- Supporting end-of-tenancy repairs and property presentation activities

- Conducting property inspections, condition assessments, and maintenance audits

- Identifying maintenance defects, safety risks, and preventative maintenance opportunities

- Coordinating and liaising with contractors and suppliers

- Maintaining lawns, gardens, and communal areas as required

- Completing electronic inspection reports, maintenance records, and work orders

- Providing qualified, respectful, and customer-focused service to tenants

- Working safely and contributing to a strong workplace health and safety culture

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking an experienced maintenance professional who works independently, manages competing priorities, and delivers high-quality work with excellent customer service.

Essential

- Current unrestricted driver's licence

- Relevant trade qualification, such as carpentry, painting or building maintenance, or equivalent practical experience in a related field

- Current NSW Construction Industry White Card

- Demonstrated experience in residential maintenance, property repairs, or a related trade environment

- Strong practical skills across general repairs, painting, minor carpentry and property maintenance

- Experience identifying defects, assessing maintenance requirements, and determining appropriate solutions

- Ability to coordinate contractors and manage work across multiple properties

- Strong customer service and communication skills





- Experience using digital systems to complete inspections, reports and maintenance records

- Commitment to safe work practices and workplace health and safety
