About the opportunity

The Discipleship Internship is a paid internship for young adults selected from within the Archdiocese of Melbourne. The Internship is a multifaceted program designed to intensively form a small team of interns in missionary discipleship.Working alongside the Discipleship Team, interns will play a valuable role in building a culture of discipleship among university students and communities across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

Interns will gain hands-on experience through campus ministry and Archdiocesan initiatives while receiving ongoing formation and mentoring. The Discipleship Internship will run from February 2027 through December 2027.

Internship Hours

The internship is 15 hours per week. Applicants must be available during this time for:

- Formation at our East Melbourne office
- Assisting with SIX30 Holy Hour at St Patrick’s Cathedral for 3 hours each Thursday evening (during semester)

The remaining hours are flexible and can be arranged separately.

About you (Essential Requirements)

- You are currently enrolled full-time (minimum three subjects) in an undergraduate degree at a Victorian university and intend to maintain your enrolment throughout 2027.
- You are a practising Catholic.
- You have a willingness to deepen your own personal relationship with Jesus.
- You have a desire to share your faith on campus, among your peers and in local communities.




- You enjoy working collaboratively and building meaningful relationships with others.
