About the Chance

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead our New and Used Vehicle Sales Department at Horsham Motor Company.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for sales performance, profitability, stock management, customer satisfaction and the development of the sales team. You will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the department while creating a strong sales culture and ensuring manufacturer and dealership standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, motivate and develop the New and Used Vehicle Sales team.

- Drive vehicle sales and gross profit performance against agreed targets.

- Review and authorise vehicle deals to achieve sales and profitability objectives.

- Manage vehicle inventory, stock mix and presentation.

- Monitor individual and department performance and provide ongoing coaching and support.

- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, loyalty and referrals.

- Ensure customer enquiries, opportunities and follow-ups are effectively managed.

- Support the team with prospecting, negotiations, closing and vehicle delivery.





- Oversee used vehicle trade-in appraisal standards.

- Work closely with Finance and other departments to maximise dealership opportunities.

- Support sales promotions, merchandising and marketing activities.

- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and finance providers.

- Ensure manufacturer standards and dealership policies and procedures are consistently followed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Strong experience in new and/or used vehicle sales, with a proven sales record.

- 5+ years’ experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar automotive sales leadership role is highly regarded.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.

- Sound understanding of vehicle stock control and dealership sales operations.

- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and gross profit targets.

- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

- A genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

- Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.

- A current driver's licence.
