The Chance

As our Category Manager - Sourcing, you’ll play a key role in connecting engineering, manufacturing and supply chain performance. You’ll source technical components, partner with technical and production teams, and work with suppliers to deliver the parts, materials and capability needed to support complex defence programs.

What You’ll Be Driving

- Build and execute smart category strategies for engineered parts that keep production moving.

- Support product development in EOS - find and assess suppliers with the right capability, capacity, quality systems and commercial fit.

- Lead sourcing activities, market research and supplier engagement to unlock value and reduce risk.

- Keep a close eye on supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost and lead time — and take action when priorities shift.

- Negotiate supplier agreements that support long-term performance, resilience and compliance.

- Support bigger-picture supply chain goals including cost reduction, cash flow, supply chain provenance and compliance reporting.

- Review upcoming material requirements quickly and efficiently and source parts in line with organisational priorities.

- Interpret specifications, drawings and Bills of Materials to obtain quotes and source suitable materials and components.

- Select appropriate vendors in accordance with technical, engineering, commercial and delivery objectives.

- Negotiate pricing and lead times with selected vendors and perform other duties as required by the Strategic Sourcing Manager.





You’ll Thrive Here If You…

- Bring solid commercial judgement, with proven experience negotiating and executing high-value contracts with international manufacturers.

- Have strong sourcing or procurement experience in manufacturing, engineering, OEM, FMCG or a recognised supply chain environment.

- Understand manufacturing methods, MRP and production planning — or are motivated to deepen your capability in this space.

- Can interpret drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials and translate technical requirements into practical sourcing actions.

- You bring a supply chain, engineering, manufacturing relevant degree qualification and commercial/contract experience.

- APICS CSCP, CPIM or CIPS accreditation will be highly regarded.
