About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded national law firm in Brisbane. Known for its collaborative culture, exceptional client service, and strong reputation within the Australian legal market, this firm offers the prospect to work alongside leading legal professionals in a supportive and high-performing environment.

Supporting two Partners and a team of lawyers across Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety, you will become a valued member of the team, providing high-level administrative and legal support while gaining exposure to interesting and complex matters.

The Role

This is a fast-paced and varied position that will suit a proactive Legal Assistant who enjoys building strong relationships, taking ownership of their work, and becoming a trusted support to busy legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- - Extensive diary, phone and email management and ownership of the team
- Billing
- Attend to PA duties and work independently
- Be active on files where required
- Ability to manage client relationships well
- Take instructions from clients on behalf of the team
- Preparation and reconciliation of expenses
- Preparing pro forma legal documents and briefs to Counsel
- Attend to e-filing of court documents
- Opening and closing of files
- Organising team events & functions
- File management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring previous 3+ years experience as a Legal Assistant within a law firm or professional services environment.

You will also possess:





- Strong legal administration and document management skills
- Proven experience in a Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety department
- Ideally have worked in a large national law firm previously
- Advanced Microsoft Word formatting abilities
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A solid client-service mindset and professional presentation
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach
- The confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
