Brisbane Boys' College is an established GPS day and boarding school founded in 1902, dedicated to developing boys into worthy leaders and good citizens. Located just four kilometres from Brisbane's centre, we educate students from Prep to Year 12.
About the role:
The Human Resources Administrator role is available for an immediate start. This permanent part-time (0.6 FTE / 22,8h weekly) position will provide essential administrative support to the HR team, focusing on tasks that ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the HR function.
Key responsibilities/accountabilities:
- Assist with preparing and formatting employment-related documents and correspondence.
- Maintain employee files, ensuring accurate and timely filing (physical and electronic).
- Provide data entry support, including input into HR systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Support the coordination of onboarding processes such as preparing induction packs, booking meeting rooms, and communicating schedules.
- Help track and follow up on documentation required from new staff (e.g. forms, identification, training evidence).
- Assist in monitoring Blue Card and QCT tracking spreadsheets and following up on expiry reminders under guidance.
- Provide support in updating training completion records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Liaise with staff regarding basic queries and direct more complex issues to appropriate HR team members.
- Undertake general office administration duties such as printing, scanning, photocopying, and preparing HR packs.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee information.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as directed by the HR Director.
Solid organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow procedures, work to deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team.
Discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
