About the Role

We are looking for a Casual Pastry Chef to join us at the Argyle Stores Precinct in The Rocks, Sydney. This role involves a mix of service and production shifts, requiring a flexible approach to your roster. You will lead your section to deliver gold-standard desserts in a fast-paced, premium environment while maintaining the highest culinary standards.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage your designated pastry section to ensure the consistent delivery of premium quality dishes.
- Execute dishes with precision, focusing on exceptional presentation and portion control during service.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and senior team to uphold the restaurant’s culinary vision.




- Supervise and support junior team members, fostering efficiency and professional growth.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and WH&S; standards to maintain a clean, organized workstation.

Requirements

- Formal qualification in Commercial Cookery or Patisserie is essential.
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or Chef De Partie in a premium or fine-dining setting.
- Strong foundation in kitchen fundamentals and pastry techniques.
- Mastery of kitchen safety and hygiene regulations.
