About the role

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll help clients maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment, supporting their independence, dignity and wellbeing.

You’ll work across client homes, providing high-quality domestic assistance in line with individual care plans and our health, safety and quality standards.

What you’ll do

- Provide professional domestic cleaning and household support
- Vacuum, mop, dust and clean kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- Complete laundry, folding and clothing care
- Assist with minor meal preparation
- Safely use cleaning equipment, products and supplies
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control
- Follow client care plans and WHS/manual handling requirements
- Complete accurate service records, timesheets and client documentation
- Identify and report hazards, risks or changes in the client environment
- Travel between client homes safely and transport required equipment
- Build respectful, positive relationships with clients, families and the wider care team

What you’ll bring

- Previous experience in domestic cleaning or community/home care.




- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Current driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgment where practice is not clearly defined.
- Completion of manual handling, infection control, and relevant training.
- Experience in aged care, disability or community support
- Knowledge of My Aged Care and NDIS frameworks
