Full-Time Dental Assistant or Receptionist
Toowoomba Orthodontists is a busy and progressive specialist orthodontic practice located in the heart of Toowoomba on Margaret Street, with branch practices in Toowoomba and Warwick. We provide specialist orthodontic care using the latest digital technology in teeth straightening and are recognised as experts in customised braces and leading providers of clear aligner treatment.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Dental Assistant or Receptionist to join our friendly, fast-paced and dynamic team.
This position is suited to applicants interested in either a clinical Dental Assistant role or a Receptionist role. We welcome applications from both junior and experienced candidates, with full training provided to the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your experience, skills and the needs of the practice, responsibilities may include:
Dental Assistant Duties
- Assisting with chairside orthodontic procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for procedures
- Maintaining infection control and sterilisation standards
- Assisting with laboratory duties
- Using dental practice management software
- Supporting the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care
Reception & Administration Duties
- Answering and directing telephone enquiries
- Providing professional face-to-face patient communication
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Preparing treatment documentation and paperwork
- Writing correspondence and letters
- General administrative duties including filing, banking and mail processing
- Supporting the Practice Manager and wider team as required
About You
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic to learn, passionate about patient care and possess the following qualities:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Reliable, friendly and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and take initiative
- Strong work ethic and professional presentation
- Confidence using computers and Microsoft Office programs, including Word and PowerPoint
- Previous dental assisting or reception experience is advantageous but not essential
