We are currently seeking a hands-on Trades Assistant to support a range of construction, renovation and refurbishment projects across the School.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Support the Construction Manager and Lead Carpenter across construction, renovation and refurbishment projects throughout the School.

- Undertake general labouring duties including site preparation, demolition, material handling, clean-up and waste removal.

- Prepare tools, equipment, materials and work areas, including loading, unloading and safely storing project supplies.

- Assist with carpentry and building-related works, including measuring, cutting, assembling, installing and removing materials, fixtures and fittings.

- Support external contractors and tradespeople, and assist with deliveries, stock control and collection of project materials as required.





- Maintain clean and organised work areas while ensuring all works are completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements and School procedures.

The successful candidate should possess:

- Previous experience in building, construction, renovation, labouring or a Trade Assistant role.

- Practical experience using common hand tools, power tools and construction equipment.

- A good understanding of building and construction practices, with experience working alongside qualified tradespeople highly regarded.

- The ability to safely undertake manual handling and physically demanding work.

- A current White Card and driver's licence, along with a current Blue Card or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.

- A practical, proactive approach with the ability to anticipate what’s needed and help keep projects progressing efficiently.
