In 2027, Westside Christian College will celebrate an key milestone - 50 years of learning, faith, community and service.

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Events Coordinator to help us create a memorable year of celebration, including our 50th Anniversary Gala Evening in May 2027. This is a contract position, 3 days a week up until the end of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to take an event from idea to experience - bringing together people, stories, history and community to celebrate where Westside has come from and the people who have been part of that journey.

Your opportunity

Working closely with College leadership, staff and our broader community, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of our anniversary events and activities from concept through to completion.
You will be the person who keeps the many moving parts moving - developing project plans, coordinating suppliers and venues, managing invitations and guest lists,



supporting communications and social media, engaging with alumni and community members, and making sure the details come together on the day.

A significant focus will be the successful delivery of our 50th Anniversary Gala Evening, alongside other activities celebrating the College's history and community throughout the anniversary year.

What you'll bring

You’ll be someone who enjoys making things happen and is equally comfortable working through a detailed project plan as you are talking with a supplier, welcoming a guest or finding a creative solution when plans change.You’ll also bring proven experience coordinating events of comparable scale or complexity. Experience in a school, community, not-for-profit or values-based organisation would be an advantage.
