Flooring Installers / Floor Finishers About the Role n

Prime Flooring Co Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Flooring Installers / Floor Finishers to join our growing Brisbane team.

n

These are full-time, ongoing positions working across residential and commercial projects throughout Brisbane and South-East Queensland.

n

Interstate applicants are encouraged to apply. A relocation bonus is available to successful interstate applicants.

What You’ll Be Doing n

n
- n

Measuring, cutting and installing carpet, underlay, carpet tiles, vinyl, laminate and hybrid flooring.

n
- n

Preparing concrete and timber subfloors by cleaning, levelling and addressing surface imperfections.

n
- n

Installing smooth-edge, trims, transitions and flooring accessories.

n
- n

Joining, stretching, securing and finishing carpet.

n
- n

Applying adhesives and appropriate flooring installation methods.

n
- n

Reading measurements, plans and installation specifications.

n
- n

Inspecting completed work and rectifying defects.

n
- n

Operating flooring tools and equipment safely.

n
- n

Maintaining clean, safe and professional work areas.

n

What We’re Looking For nn
- n

At least 12 months of relevant full-time flooring installation experience, or equivalent part-time experience.

n
- n

Practical experience installing carpet and other flooring products such as vinyl, laminate or hybrid flooring.

- n

Strong floor-preparation, measuring, cutting and installation skills.

n
- n

Ability to work independently and maintain excellent workmanship.

n
- n

Good attention to detail, reliability and problem-solving skills.

n
- n

Current unrestricted driver licence.

n
- n

Construction White Card, or ability to obtain one.

n
- n

Appropriate Australian working rights.

n

n

A relevant flooring qualification is desirable but not essential.

$80,000–$90,000 per year plus superannuation.

Full-time, ongoing employment—38 hours per week.
