Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to take on the role of Head of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at this Base Hospital .
n
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior O&G; specialist to combine clinical practice, departmental leadership, education and service development within a supportive regional health network.
n
The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of contemporary, comprehensive and best-practice Obstetrics & Gynaecology services while supporting the development and wellbeing of medical staff and doctors in training.
n
The Opportunity As Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology , you will provide clinical leadership and oversight of the department, working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
n
You will have an important role in developing a strong, collaborative and sustainable O&G; service across Grafton Base Hospital and the Clarence Network.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Lead and manage the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department.
n
- Provide contemporary, comprehensive specialist O&G; services.
n
- Promote best-practice clinical care and optimal patient outcomes.
n
- Provide clinical leadership across the department and wider network.
n
- Foster effective multidisciplinary and inter-departmental collaboration.
n
- Assist with the efficient and effective allocation and management of resources.
n
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety.
n
- Support training, supervision and education of clinicians across relevant disciplines.
n
- Take a lead role in the accreditation and maintenance of medical training programs.
n
- Support the professional development, supervision and wellbeing of doctors in training.
n
- Contribute to workforce planning and service development.
n
- Promote a positive and supportive departmental culture.
n

Remuneration & Employment Position: Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Staff Specialist
n
Employment: Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time
n
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
n
Remuneration: $278,355 – $376,068 per annum , full-time equivalent, depending on experience
n
Senior Specialist remuneration: May be considered, subject to CE approval
n

About You To Be Successful, You Will Have n
n
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent recognised specialist qualification.
n
- Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for specialist registration.
n
- Appropriate consultant-level experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
n
- Demonstrated clinical leadership capability.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Commitment to contemporary, evidence-based clinical practice.
n
- Experience or interest in education, supervision and mentoring.
n
- Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety.
n
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and inter-departmental teams.
n
- A genuine commitment to supporting doctors in training and workforce wellbeing.
n
n
International Medical Graduates and Specialist International Medical Graduates with appropriate qualifications and eligibility for specialist registration in Australia are encouraged to enquire.
