Carey Baptist College (Harrisdale Campus) is seeking a passionate a collaborative educator to join our Humanities Department from 1 January 2027.This position is Full Time position but we would consider a Part Time candidate.

In this role, you will work alongside an established team to deliver high-quality Humanities programs.This is an exciting opportunity to help students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate an increasingly complex world.

You'll join a collaborative Secondary team that is committed to educational excellence, meaningful relationships and creating engaging learning experiences that prepare students for life beyond school.
Key Responsibilities n
As our Economics and Business Teacher, you will:

- Deliver engaging and contemporary high-quality Humanities programs that inspire curiosity and deepen understanding.
n
- Commit to evidence-informed practices, using clear learning intentions, attainable goals, structured routines and scaffolding to guide students.
n
- Provide timely feedback that helps students grow in confidence and achieve their personal best.
n
- Build positive relationships with students, encouraging them to become resilient, responsible and reflective learners.
n
- Participate regularly in Christian worship and staff devotions, upholding the College’s Christian ethos in all professional interactions.
n
- Collaborate with colleagues to continually strengthen curriculum, assessment and teaching practice..

About You n
n
- You thrive in a team environment and enjoy planning and collaborating with fellow Humanities colleagues.
n
- You possess a strong background in economics, business, finance, or accounting.
n
- VET competencies for the Certificate courses are an advantage
n
- An active Christian faith (if possible please include a reference from your pastor)
n
- Working expertise with ATAR and VET pathways
n
- Solid team building and organisational capacity
n
- A willingness to go the extra mile to achieve excellence
