We're partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing organisation to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant into a newly created position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong accountant to step into a high-visibility role with significant ownership, international stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to help shape future finance processes.

The Opportunity n

This role offers the best of both worlds, providing the opportunity to either be based in Ballarat or work on a hybrid basis from Melbourne, with a minimum of two days per week onsite. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on consolidations, audit support and technical accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading quarterly and annual group consolidation processes
n
- Preparing consolidation schedules and supporting reporting packs
n
- Managing month-end and year-end reporting activities
n
- Supporting annual audit requirements and responding to audit queries
n
- Applying IFRS accounting standards to complex reporting matters
n
- Building robust relationships with local and international stakeholders
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls
n




- Assisting with technical accounting research and financial statement disclosures
n

About You n

To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- CA qualified (or CPA with strong technical reporting experience)
n
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and consolidations
n
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards
n
- Experience supporting external audit processes
n
- Advanced Excel capability
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- A proactive, hands-on and collaborative approach
n
- Prior experience with Pronto advantageous however not essential
n
