Release Train Engineer
12 month contract
Full-time onsite work required – Brisbane CBD / Remote applicants will not be considered
Up to $1000 per day (up to $892 plus Superannuation)

We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation to recruit an experienced Release Train Engineer .

n

This role sits within a large-scale software delivery program supporting an integrated suite of mining technology products that enable real-time guidance, fleet monitoring, tracking, automation, and operational decision-making across mining operations globally.

n

You’ll lead one Agile Release Train consisting of approximately six teams and 60 people, helping drive alignment, transparency, execution excellence, and continuous improvement across a complex, internationally distributed environment operating at significant scale.

What you’ll be doing n

- Lead PI Planning and SAFe ceremonies
n
- Facilitate ART Syncs and Scrum of Scrums
n
- Coach teams in SAFe and Lean-Agile practices
n
- Align delivery with business priorities
n
- Manage cross-team dependencies
n
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks
n
- Drive continuous value delivery
n
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders
n
- Promote quality and delivery excellence
n
- Remove blockers impacting teams
n
- Provide clear stakeholder communication
n
- Report on ART health and progress
n
- Analyse flow metrics and trends
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
n

What you need to bring nn
- Experience leading Agile delivery at scale
n




- Strong SAFe and Lean-Agile expertise
n
- RTE or similar Agile leadership experience
n
- Experience managing multiple Agile teams
n
- Proven dependency and risk management skills
n
- Strong facilitation and workshop skills
n
- Stakeholder engagement experience
n
- Ability to influence without authority
n
- Solid coaching and mentoring capability
n
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
n
- Data-driven reporting experience
n
- Strong analytical skills
n
- Continuous improvement mindset
n

Bonus points for nn
- SAFe RTE certification
n
- Experience in 250+ person programmes
n
- Exposure to multiple Agile Release Trains
n
- Portfolio delivery experience
n
- Azure DevOps or Jira expertise

- Mining or industrial technology experience

- This role will require the successful candidate to work on site in Brisbane full-time 5 days per week.
