FLI Group is a Western Sydney finance brokerage based in Seven Hills. We help individuals, families and business owners secure the right finance. Our work covers home and investment loans, refinancing, commercial property, construction and development, business and equipment finance, vehicle and asset finance, and SMSF lending. Many of our clients are business owners with company, trust and SMSF structures, and they regularly need a trusted accountant alongside their finance broker.

The opportunity

We're looking for a qualified, licensed accountant to operate their own accounting practice from within our business. You'll work alongside our brokers, receive referrals from our existing client base, and provide accounting and tax services to FLI clients. You'll also support our team on complex lending files. This is a genuine chance to build a practice with a steady flow of clients and without the usual start-up overheads.

What you'll do

- Client accounting and tax services
- Prepare individual, company, trust, partnership and SMSF tax returns
- Prepare annual financial statements for business and investment clients
- Lodge BAS, IAS and other ATO obligations as registered tax agent
- Advise clients on business structures,



tax planning and compliance
- Provide bookkeeping, payroll and STP support where needed

Working with FLI

- Receive and service client referrals from our brokers
- Prepare up-to-date financials and tax returns clients need for loan applications
- Help brokers interpret business financials, add-backs and serviceability for self-employed clients
- Advise on structuring for SMSF, commercial and construction lending
- Refer clients back to FLI when finance needs come up
- Support FLI's own accounting and compliance needs (if applicable)

Current registration with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) as a registered tax agent

Current public practice certificate with CA ANZ, CPA Australia or IPA

Qualified indemnity insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Degree in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent

Strong knowledge of company, trust and SMSF structures and Australian tax law

Proficiency with Xero, MYOB and/or practice software such as (Xero Practice Manager / HandiTax)

Highly regarded

Community languages (e.g. Punjabi, Hindi) to support our diverse client base
