Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the Wyong production operation, ensuring customer requirements are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to 4id's quality standards.

You will lead the production team, including Team Leaders and our Lead Printer, and work closely with Customer Service, Pre-Press, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement, Technical & R&D; and other onsite team members. A key part of the role is creating strong communication across the site - ensuring priorities are clear, problems are raised early and the production team has the information, materials and resources required to succeed.

Key responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day production operation, including people, scheduling, labour allocation, equipment and production priorities.

Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, waste, downtime and efficiency.

Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders, the Lead Printer and production team.

Maintain clear daily communication with Customer Service, Pre-Press, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement and other onsite functions.

Ensure production schedules and customer commitments are understood, monitored and achieved, with risks communicated early.

Maintain high standards of 6S, workplace safety, ISO compliance and quality.

Ensure equipment is maintained and production issues are addressed quickly and effectively.

Develop and maintain SOPs, standardised processes and strong production disciplines.

Use production data and systems, including CERM, to monitor performance and support decision-making.

Work closely with Technical & R&D; on trials, recent products, current materials and the successful handover of developed processes into routine production.

Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication and continuous improvement.

About you





We are looking for an experienced manufacuring leader who is comfortable being on the production floor, working with the team and taking ownership of results

Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor or similar manufacturing leadership role.

Strong people leadership skills with experience developing, coaching and holding teams accountable.

Experience in labels, printing, converting, packaging or a related manufacturing environment would be highly regarded.

Strong production planning, scheduling and resource-management capability.

A practical understanding of quality, waste reduction, downtime, productivity and continuous improvement.

Experience working within structured safety and quality systems.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Clear and proactive communication across production and support teams.

Experience with manufacturing/MIS systems such as CERM would be advantageous.
