About the Role

Lighthouse Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join our team in a full time, 12-month contract position.

n

This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach VCE Chemistry alongside Junior Secondary Art and Visual Communication, within a supportive and faith-cantered school community.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs in Chemistry and Arts
n
- Plan, assess, and report on student progress
n
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
n
- Contribute to curriculum development and faculty initiatives
n
- Participate in College events, meetings, and co-curricular activities
n

n

Desirable (but not essential)

n

n
- Ability to teach additional Science subjects
n
- Experience with Maker Space or interdisciplinary learning
n

n

Essential Requirements

n

Applicants must:

- Hold a current VIT registration
n
- Demonstrate a commitment to child safety
n
- Alignment with Christian values and the College's ethos is an essential requirement for this position

- Hold a bachelor's degree with a recognized teaching qualification
n
- Be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent residency visa
