Ternary Consulting is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to join their team as Trainee Community Support Workers across the Greater Sydney region.

n

This opportunity is ideal for people who do not currently hold an industry-recognised qualification but would like to earn while they learn through a supported traineeship pathway.

n

About the Opportunity:

n

Successful applicants will undertake a 12 to 15-month paid traineeship, combining practical workplace experience with formal training to achieve a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021) - Aged Care.

n

Trainees will gain hands-on experience supporting aged care clients in their homes while being paid to attend training and study days throughout the program.

n

Multiple positions are available across the following Sydney regions:

n

- Inner North (Mosman, North Sydney, Manly)
n
- Northern Beaches (Dee Why, Narrabeen, Belrose, Frenchs Forest)
n
- St George (Hurstville, Rockdale, St George)
n

n

Successful candidates will be employed within their local area and should be willing to travel up to approximately 25 minutes to support clients in their homes.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

As a Trainee Community Support Worker, duties may include:

n

n
- Providing domestic assistance, including vacuuming, mopping, changing linen, and general household cleaning
n
- Bed making and maintaining tidy living spaces
n
- Assisting clients with shopping and errands
n
- Providing transport to appointments and community activities
n
- Supporting clients with personal care, including showering, dressing, and grooming
n




- Delivering respite and social support servicesBuilding positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
n
- Communicating effectively with clients and members of the care team
n

About the Ideal Candidate:

n

Ternary Consulting is looking for individuals who:

- Have a positive attitude and robust work ethic
n
- Are reliable and possess effective communication skills
n
- Have a genuine desire to support and care for older Australians
n
- Are willing to learn and develop new skills
n
- Can obtain and pass a National Police Check
n
- Hold a current NSW Driver Licence
n
- Have access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
n
- Are Australian or New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents eligible for traineeship funding
n
- Have regular availability of at least three consistent weekdays per week (Monday to Friday)
n
- Live within 10 kilometres of one of the advertised locations
n
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
n
- Earn while you learn through a paid traineeship
n
- Complete a nationally recognised qualification
n
- Receive practical on-the-job training and ongoing support
n
- Work within your local community
n
- Build valuable skills in the growing aged care sector
n
