Two positions | Civil and commercial landscape construction

HL Landscapes is recruiting two experienced Landscape Project Managers to lead civil and commercial landscape construction delivery across South-East Queensland. The core role is the same: take ownership of project planning, commercial performance, programme, client relationships, safety, quality and close-out, with project allocation matched to experience.

What you will do

- Project Planning and Initiation: Build project plans covering procurement, schedules, budgets, and resourcing, and work with clients from day one to set clear goals and expectations.
- Budget and Cost Control: Track costs against budget, and act early on overruns and savings opportunities to protect margins.
- Risk Management: Spot risks before they become delays, and work with Site Supervisors to resolve in office issues quickly and keep projects on track.
- Client Management: Be the clients' main point of contact, keeping them informed with regular updates and resolving concerns promptly.
- Resource Management: Coordinate labour, materials and equipment across multiple sites, partnering with Site Supervisors to get the most from every resource.
- Site Travel:



Move between project sites across South-East Queensland as project needs require, staying close to the work and the people delivering it.
- Quality and Compliance: Deliver work that meets quality standards, and complies with SWMS, safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep site reports, budgets, RFIs, and client communications accurate and up to date.

About you

- Minimum 5+ years project management experience in landscape or civil construction.
- Strong planning, budget, forecasting and risk-management capability.
- Proven contract administration experience including RFIs, EOTs and variations.
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership of site-based teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong WHS, SWMS and quality-control capability.

Highly regarded

- Hands-on hard and soft landscape construction knowledge.
- Tertiary Construction Management / Project Management qualification.
- Queensland infrastructure, TMR or Tier 1 contractor experience.
- Project scheduling software and/or Certificate IV WHS.
